Shed those extra kilos by following three simple steps
Although every one loves to stay in shape, there are very few who can control their irregular eating habits. The first principle of staying healthy and fit is self-discipline and self-control. It is very important to be aware of what you should eat, when to eat, how much to eat and finally how many calories you burn.
- Breakfast like a king- Being the the first meal of the day, breakfast should be loaded with essential nutrients to keep you going for the entire day. Your breakfast plate should consist of a fruit, whole grains, a glass of milk or juice and a fistful of nuts/dry fruits. Taking bed-tea as the first drink in the morning is not a very good idea.
- Lunch like a prince- Your lunch should ideally include lots of raw or par-boiled vegetables in the form of salad, whole grains for proteins, and rice, pasta, noodles etc. for carbohydrates. Introduce variety in your food, by changing food items on a daily basis. If you are a non-vegetarian, fish is a good option.
- Dinner like a pauper- Dinner is supposed to be the smallest meal of the day, as the metabolism begins to slow down by the end of the day. Avoid oily and heavy meals at night. Instead, go for light snacks, and add more fruits. Ensure that you eat at least three to four hours before going to bed as this will assure a sound sleep.
Follow these three steps to stay healthy and in shape. Crash diets and fasting are unhealthy ways to lose weight. They will only drain the nutrients from your body, making you weak and anaemic. Avoid munching on unhealthy snacks or junk food between meals.
